Ella Belly Mei Tai {Product Spotlight}

The Ella Belly Mei Tai is the product spotlight this week. Kelly Hughes is the creator of these carriers. Here is a bit from the website about her and how she got started:

After my daughter Ella was born, I started babywearing right away. I tried ring slings, pouch carriers, structured buckle mei tais, wraps and just about everything in between. My husband was a good sport and tested out all the carriers right along with me. It took me a few months to figure out which ones worked the best for us…I’m a huge proponent of babywearing. I know it has saved my sanity so many times it’s hard to count. It’s hard to imagine how people get through motherhood any other way. My philosophy is, “You can either wear your baby out, or they’ll wear you out.” I can tell you, Ella and I are both a lot happier when I wear her!

Ella Belly, the Carrier:

The Ella Belly is a mei tai carrier, which means it has a body panel of fabric and 4 straps that come off at the corners for the wearer to tie on; 2 waist straps and 2 shoulder straps. Each carrier is custom made when you order it. You get to choose from a gallery of fabric and pick 2 designs that you like and your carrier will be reversible. You also get to choose the strap color that you would like. Each carrier is made with durable supportive canvas inside the body for strength, comfort and durability. The shoulder straps have padding to help with wearer comfort and there is also padding where baby’s legs come out of the carrier to add comfort for baby as well. Some extras that are available to order are: a headrest, extra long straps, or a toddler sized carrier body.
