Boba 3G is the baby carrier review today. Boba started with a family who wanted to have “Freedom Together”. Freedom to be able to pack up and just go with kids in tow and not have to worry about how they were going to get somewhere with a stroller or when their kids got tired. The Ergo Baby Carrier is one that has been around a long time, while the Onya Baby Carrier is a “new kid” in the baby carrier world. I’m going to compare the two today to help you solve the mystery of “which carrier should I get?”

The Action Baby Carrier is a simple buckle carrier. It started out as a mei tai carrier, that the creator, Angela, was making for family and friends as they had babies. They used to be called “Active Mom Carriers”. She offered up some carriers on a forum and people were highly interested in them! Lucky her and lucky us! They moved to making buckle carriers a while after that and Action Baby Carriers started to become the business it is today. These carriers are still made in the U.S.A. and are very affordable. Rockin’ Baby Slings is a company that believes in giving back. They have a “Mother to Mother” mission where for every sling sold they donate a sling to a mother in Haiti. Once a year Kathryn Wiley, the owner of Rockin’ Baby, takes all the donated slings and takes them to Haiti in order to give them to mothers and teach the importance of holding your baby close. Several months ago I got on a waiting list through Paxbaby.com to try out her Traveling ObiMama. ObiMama is a work at home mom who makes mei tais (and ring slings). More specifically she has made some beautiful mei tais from woven wraps. I feel so lucky I got to try one out and share it with my babywearing group. It was definitely hard to say goodbye to this carrier after a week. [Read more...]
